Navigating the world of business funding can be a bit overwhelming, but we are here to simplify things for you. We’ll cover the three primary funding types: grants, investments, and loans.

We’ll go over the pros and cons of each type, highlighting that there’s no universal "best" option – it all depends on your business's unique needs and timing. THE BASICS OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS (IPR)

We are sure that you heard about patents as a form of protecting your innovations, but can you name the the other categories of IPR?

With clear examples, we’ll explain the main types of IPR in a way that you don’t need to be a lawyer to understand. We’ll also touch on the importance of having clear agreements with your partners, which is especially important for grant applications that require a consortium. Using the flying broomstick as a theoretical example, we’ll illustrate how to create a partnership agreement and clarify who owns what in a joint project. INSIGHTS ABOUT INVESTORS, DILUTION AND VALUATION

Let’s dive into the world of investments! This session is your go-to guide for understanding the ins and outs of attracting and communicating with investors.

We'll dive into how their minds work and what they look for in a startup. We'll also explain dilution – that’s when your ownership percentage decreases because new shares are issued. Valuation, another key topic, is all about determining your company’s worth. We'll use real-world examples to show how your business’s valuation can change as more investors come on board and what impact that has. By the end, you will have a solid understanding of what it means to bring investors into your company.

MASTER CLASSES

Our CEO and founder Uffe Bundgaard-Jørgensen conducts “How to get funded” master classes tailored to the needs of SMEs and entrepreneurs. It covers grant types and how to deal with investors, including critical elements in the business plan e.g. budgeting, liquidity analysis and IPR. The master classes are usually half a day. Over the last 10 years, more than 175 master classes have been carried out in almost all parts of the EU, often in connection to large EU-funded projects.
