INnovatIve and enhanCed naturE-based solutions for a sustainable urban water cycle
The NICE project aims to transform concrete jungles by utilizing nature-based solutions. NICE will analyse, test, implement, compare and monitor nature-based solutions to mitigate water pollution and runoff to create a circular urban water system. The project, financed by the European Commission, runs from 2021 until 2025.
To generate knowledge for the design and implementation of nature-based solutions with the goal of closing urban water loops. The NICE solutions will capture water, repurpose it, and mitigate pollution and runoff
To develop and test new approaches in labs and URLs (Urban Real Labs) around the globe
G2G is the leader of the work package on Exploitation, Regulatory and Business Strategy. The work will provide a structure to make the NICE project results scalable, replicable and exploitable.
G2G main activities are:
Designing and implementing targeted business/commercial exploitation and dissemination activities relevant for the major stakeholder groups
Putting in place suitable IP management strategies and processes
Implementing a structured process to secure the widest possible business/commercial exploitation of identified project results
Supporting other exploitation activities through knowledge transfer
Support efforts to secure compliance with regulatory requirements
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under Grant Agreement No. 101003765.
The NICE project consortium counts 14 partners from 7 EU countries and Columbia and Egypt.
