NICE
INnovatIve and enhanCed naturE-based solutions for a sustainable urban water cycle

About NICE
The NICE project aims to transform concrete jungles by utilizing nature-based solutions. NICE will analyse, test, implement, compare and monitor nature-based solutions to mitigate water pollution and runoff to create a circular urban water system. The project, financed by the European Commission, runs from 2021 until 2025.
Objectives:
-
To generate knowledge for the design and implementation of nature-based solutions with the goal of closing urban water loops. The NICE solutions will capture water, repurpose it, and mitigate pollution and runoff
-
To develop and test new approaches in labs and URLs (Urban Real Labs) around the globe
