LIBERATE
LIgnin BiorefinERy Approach using ElecTrochEmical Flow

About LIBERATE
LIBERATE will deliver a pilot-scale electrochemical plant to demonstrate the commercial opportunities of converting low-cost lignin feedstock into high-value bio sustainable chemicals. The LIBERATE project will model and physically integrate renewable energy sources to deliver a process that is capable of synthesizing chemicals with zero carbon dioxide. The renewable energy integration will open up new business models for biorefinery operators to utilize peak renewable energy at discounted rates.
Gate2Growth participation
G2G is leading the exploitation tasks of the project in a work package that provides a support structure that will boost the impact of the Liberate project results by making them scalable. Additionally, together with LEITAT, G2G takes part in the Dissemination and Communication activities of the project. G2G is also involved in another work package with a focus on the economics of the project results.
G2G main activities are:
-
Designing and implementing targeted business/commercial exploitation and dissemination activities relevant for the major stakeholder groups
-
Putting in place suitable IP management strategies and processes
-
Implementing a structured process to secure the widest possible business/commercial exploitation of identified project results
-
Supporting other exploitation activities through knowledge transfer
-
Supporting efforts to secure compliance with regulatory requirements
